RC Price Check — Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

This policy covers the RC Price Check Android app (com.rlyehtech.rcpricecheck), an independent, unofficial tool for tracking Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises bookings and re-checking cabin and add-on prices against what you paid. RC Price Check is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Royal Caribbean Group, Royal Caribbean International, or Celebrity Cruises.

Information the app handles

To do its job, the app works with the following information, which you provide by signing in to your existing cruise-line account:

• Sign-in credentialsThe email address and password for your Royal Caribbean and/or Celebrity Cruises account.
• Account & loyalty IDse.g. your Crown & Anchor Society or Captain's Club number and the internal account IDs returned when you sign in.
• NameThe account holder's name and the names of guests on your bookings, as returned by the cruise line.
• Booking & purchase infoYour reservations, sailing dates, cabin and fare details, onboard credit, and add-on prices, used to show your bookings and compare current prices with what you paid.

The app does not request or store payment-card numbers, bank details, precise location, contacts, photos, messages, your dates of birth, or your home address.

How the information is used

The information above is used only to:

• sign you in to your Royal Caribbean / Celebrity Cruises account;
• retrieve and display your bookings; and
• compare today's cabin and add-on prices against what you paid, and (if you turn it on) notify you of price drops and when online check-in opens.

The app does not use your information for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the features above.

Where your information is stored

All of your information is stored locally on your device. Sign-in credentials and session cookies are held in Android's encrypted storage (EncryptedSharedPreferences, protected by a hardware-backed key in the Android Keystore). Your saved credentials and session cookies are excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so they stay on the one device where you entered them.

Who your information is shared with

RC Price Check has no backend server. The developer never receives, stores, or has access to any of your information.

The app communicates directly and only with Royal Caribbean's and Celebrity Cruises' own systems (such as royalcaribbean.com, celebritycruises.com, and their associated rccl.com APIs) — exactly the same systems you use when you sign in on their official website — in order to access your own account. Your information is transmitted to those systems over encrypted HTTPS connections. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services, and does not sell or share your information with any other third party.

Data security

• All network traffic uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Credentials and session cookies are encrypted at rest on the device.
• Internal diagnostic logging is removed from release builds, so booking details and names are not written to the device log.

How to delete your data

Because RC Price Check stores everything locally and keeps no server-side copy, you are always in full control of your data and can remove all of it at any time:

• In the appOpen Settings → tap “Log out / Clear all data” and confirm. This permanently erases your saved logins, cached bookings and prices, loyalty info, and all settings from the device.
• Or uninstall the appRemoving RC Price Check from your device deletes all of its stored data.

Since the developer holds no copy of your information, there is nothing further to request — deleting it on your device deletes it completely.

Children's privacy

RC Price Check is a cruise-management utility intended for adults managing their own cruise bookings. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly handle data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
